So McCain thinks it is okay to curse on national tv?

Wait until it loads.  Watch McCain carefully, and listen.

Will the traditional media pick up on this clear example of how bad McCain's temperament really is?

Or should we simply say that McCain claiming he is prepared to be president is best described by the word he used:   "Horses#&t"  ??

Giddy-up! (Pain - 9/27/2008 10:49:31 AM)

He must have forgotten about this new invention called video tape.

I think it's actually 'course not, course not' (Pain - 9/27/2008 11:03:47 AM)

That msnbc clip shows it better, at 4:20 minute mark.

Under the breath (Teddy - 9/27/2008 11:15:29 AM)
so are you suuuure? Or, is this McCain's equivalent of Ronald Reagan's "There you go again" (dressed up for today's generation it should have been "f*** you," which we also know McCain can say to collegaues and to those testifying before Senatorial committees)

I am pretty sure (teacherken - 9/27/2008 11:21:12 AM)
I watched his lips.  I have pretty good ability to separate out sounds - comes from training as a musician, learning to listen to separate lines of music.

I didn't notice it last night, but lots of people did.

I suspect that by Monday someone will have gotten first generation recording and used a computer to isolate McCain's words. Think it might appear on Keith, or Rachel, or Stewart, or Colbert?

Are there any deaf people out there to help us out? (thegools - 9/27/2008 1:05:51 PM)
A true lip reader would have insight on this matter.

I'll give it a shot (Julie Crum - 9/28/2008 9:59:31 AM)
I can read lips a little, and I think what he was saying was " 'Course it is ", responding to Obama saying that McCain doesn't even think that Spain is an ally.

Not sure. (Pain - 9/27/2008 11:23:43 AM)

It sounds like it at first, but in that second clip from msnbc, it doesn't sound as much like it and sounds to me more like 'course not'.

I'd love for it to be Horsesh!!, but I don't think it is, and there is plenty of other stuff to rag him for instead of this.

Now, if it can be proven that it's what he said, then let the games begin. :)

I thought that at first too, but then... (Lowell - 9/27/2008 11:29:47 AM)
...I watched his lips and really listened carefully.  I'm now convinced it's the curse word Teacherken thinks it is.

While I was watching (legacyofmarshall - 9/27/2008 12:06:58 PM)
I thought he said "of course" at which the people watching with me laughed.  "Spain's a NATO ally" "uhh... of course."

Listen to the MSNBC clip (spotter - 9/27/2008 12:41:06 PM)
starting with the Iran discussion (sorry, no minute mark listed).  The first time he says it, it's not clear what he's saying, but it's a two syllable word clearly registering disgust.  The second time he says it, the mike picks it up, and it is very, very clear that, in the same disgusted tone, he said "horsesh*t."

Sounds and looks like Horseshit to me too. (thegools - 9/27/2008 1:10:43 PM)
I don't see or here "of course not" anywhere.

"Horseshit" makes more sense too.
