"Eleven years ago I started EMATS Inc., an energy services company in Southwest Virginia. I am proud that EMATS Inc. employs over 220 people, mostly in Virginia. I believe my experiences in building and growing this company can translate to a bigger playing field, to the Commonwealth of Virginia. My background gives me the ability to relate to folks from all over this diverse and fascinating Commonwealth. I had hoped that this race would be about the candidates' experiences and their vision for Virginia's future.
And that is why I was so disappointed to learn someone was putting out misinformation about my business background. Virginia deserves better and I intend to respond swiftly and aggressively to baseless accusations.
