Republican Smear Tactics in Florida

Word is that Republicans are calling Jewish voters in Florida, PA, NY, etc. "polling" them on their opinions. They are spreading false information, propagandizing, and lying by asking questions like "Do Obama's ties to Hamas and other similar groups affect your vote in any way?"

There apparently has been a whisper campaign against Obama in Florida for months.  Unfortunately, some members of this community are being taken in by these attacks.  So, if you have family or friends in Florida, Pennsylvania and New York, please let them know that this is the latest "butterfly ballot" technique to get them to vote for the wrong candidate.

It's called push polling (Pain - 9/24/2008 2:01:59 PM)

And while a low blow, it's nothing new.

How about these questions for Republicans?

John McCain recently said that he was the "biggest free trader you will ever know".  Have members of your family lost jobs because of free trade?

Throughout his career in the Senate, John McCain supported the deregulation of banks.  Do you support further deregulation of banks?

Oh, and my favorite.

Does the fact that McCain opposes gay marriage but strongly endorses gay sex bother you?

That last one is just a joke ;-)

All I need is someone with a very sarcastic voice to make a few recordings and I'm ready to go on this ;-)  There are people out there who are dumb enough to vote based on these stupid calls.

John McCain has said he would like to deregulate health care just like the financial system.  Would you like your health care to be in the same shape as our financial system?

John McCain has said he would like to stay in Iraq another 100 years.  Would you mind a 10% tax surcharge to pay for it?
