If you're not into canvassing or phonebanking, why not help the your local campaign office by donating water, food, meals or your time in getting the office organized? Virginia is a battleground state for the first time in over 40 years, and we need to keep the campaign machine running smoothly and win Virginia!!
Each day, more and more volunteers are coming in to phonebank during the week (after a full day at work) or doing calling or canvassing on the weekends. Why don't you consider donating some water, coffee, food or time to organizing the office? Some offices have campaign lit as well as campaign gear, such as bumper stickers, yard signs and buttons and others do not. If you are near to more than one office, consider assisting to distribute material between the campaign offices as necessary. Also, so many supporters want "gear" and some offices don't have any. If you have access to any gear, please consider donating some to your local campaign. They would be extremely grateful!
After visiting campaign offices in Culpeper, Fredericksburg and the new office in Springfield (behind Kmart Plaza), they could really use some helping hands and stuff. I'm sure many other offices in Virginia are in a similar situation.
Fredericksburg's coordinated campaign just hired another full time staffer to handle the influx of volunteers. They need various items such as: coffee pot, instant coffee, cider mix, sugar, creme, bottled water, plastic ware, paper towels, toilet paper and healthy snacks, trash cans, trash bags, chairs and tables. They are located by the Battlefield visitor's center on Lafayette Blvd. The Culpeper office is on corner of Main Street and Davis Avenue in the heart of historic downtown Culpeper. They need snacks and meals, coffee (styrofoam cups), sugar, creme, bottled water. The new Springfield office is behind the Kmart Plaza and could use healthy meals (i.e. Subway sandwiches), rugs, folding tables, desks, and SHELVES - they are stacking most office supplies and paper goods & drinks on the floor. All offices are always in need of pens and poster boards. Check with your local office for their "wish list" or needs. All campaigns could use some organization or "TLC" so staff can devote time to running the office and coordinate with the many volunteers coming in for canvassing, phonebanking and entering data. Many of these young staffers are in the office until very late each night!! Time is getting short! Please consider helping asap! Thank you.
