Somehow, Obama needs to attack the successful Republican message (even to many independents) that Republicans reward hard work while Democrats pay social security benefits to those who have never paid a cent into the system.

Maybe adding some wall street Welfare Kings to the list will help.  Do any RK readers want to pick up on this?  Is hard work that results in disaster a reason for reward? Will Obama's people see that another video (this one a work of beauty on his solutions), framing the disastrous results of a McCain "and I know how to do it" claim and asking whether John has shared with Sarah his plan on "how to do it."
