Sarah Palin, Energy Expert?

This is beyond embarrassing: Sarah Palin claims she's an "energy expert," but she's NOT EVEN CLOSE to knowing how much energy her own state produces.

Watch in amazement as she argues that her state provides 20 percent of America's energy:

As Matt Corley observes the correct answer is 3.5 percent. Basically, if you double Palin's estimate and then double it again you're . . . still wrong. Also if you assume that by "energy" Palin in fact just meant "oil" then she's . . . still wrong since Alaska in fact produces about 14 percent of America's oil.

So...Sarah Palin is either off by a factor of six or possibly - if you're being charitable and assume she really means "oil" not "energy" - she's "only" off by 50%.  Either way, Sarah Palin doesn't know jack about the ONE THING she claims to be an expert on - energy.  Totally. Completely Unqualified. And just remember, John McCain put her on the ticket; what does that say about John McCain?!?

Or did she just completely ignore Charlie Rose's question.  He asked her about her National security credentials, telling her that John McSame had said that she had "command of the Alaskan National Guard and Alaska is close to Russia.  Are those sufficient credentials?"

Her reply "But it is about reform of government, and it is about putting government back on the side of the people."

Huh???

Was she answering an earlier question?  Maybe she has ESP and was answering the next question.  Whatever, she definitely did not answer the question she was asked.
