Perhaps you should come to the fundraiser Tuesday for Democratic Congressional Candidate Eric Massa, running in the 29th District in New York against Randy Kuhl.  Among the notables welcoming those supporting Eric, besides Gen. Clark, are Rep. Barney Frank, former Navy Secretary John Dalton, and retired Rear Admirals Dave Oliver andDave Stone.  Elizabeth Birch from the Human Rights campaign is also a cohost.

The event will run 7:00-9:30 at 3017 Gates Road, NW, Washington, DC  20008, the home of Ronald Ginsberg.  It is Eric's 49th birthday.  If I did not have back to school night, not only would I be going, but I would be pestering everyone I can.

More below the fold.
about Eric:

Eric Massa is a 24 year retired U.S. Navy Commander who is running for Congress in New York's 29th District.  With no primary and a seasoned staff, Massa's campaign has the full support of the DCCC (Red to Blue).  Massa has raised $1.17 million, $220K more than his opponent, Republican Randy Kuhl (incumbent).  In addition, the DCCC announced an early TV buy of $1.5 million in the Rochester media market, the largest TV buy in the country by the DCCC. Massa has earned the endorsement of all of the Democratic Committees in the 29th District.  Massa lives in Corning, New York with his wife of 20 years, Beverly, and their two teenage children, Justin and Alexandra.

About the event:  you can RSVP and/or get directions by emailing:
jracalto at gmail dot com or

These are respectively Joseph A. Racalto & John P. Isa

The contribution levels for individual are:

Individual Co-Host $500-$2,300
Individual Sponsor $250-$499
Guest $100

This is a very important race for Democrats.  At Eric's last DC fundraiser, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer was one of the sponsors and gave some major moolah.

I have known Eric since the first Fighting Dems event in DC more than two years ago, and have stayed in touch since.   This is a quality guy whom we need in the House.  I know there are lots of demands on our time and our dollars, but please consider this event and this candidate.

His webpage, through which you can contribute directly whether or not you plan to attend this event, is here.

Peace.
