Earlier today, the Obama/Warner and Connolly campaigns opened a new joint office in Springfield. As you can see, even though the office is pretty big, it was quickly overflowing with enthusiastic Obama, Warner and Connolly supporters. The office is at 7106 Commerce St.

It is hard to believe that this office was just an unpainted shell 36 hours before the Grand Opening. Major kudos to Lindsey, Chris, Allison, Michael, Matt and all the other volunteers and staff who worked so hard getting the office ready for the first canvasses Saturday morning. I understand that over 100 volunteers were sent out from the newly painted office Saturday morning and afternoon.

More on the "flip"
State Senator George Barker raced back from Mark Warner's Pig Roast to join the volunteers, Delegate Mark Sickles came early and offered some Obama signs he had brought back from Denver.

If you have not been there, please stop by.  If you can volunteer some time, great.  If you can donate some supplies, that would be great too.  As I understand it, they need paper, pens, markers, water, soft drinks, healthy snacks, toilet paper, and probably a lot of other stuff I forgot.
