A small idea

I did something yesterday a little outside the structured efforts of the Obama/Biden, Warner, and congressional campaigns. I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, nor will I be the last. But I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere, so I thought I'd put it down here as one more small idea for promoting the message. And, perhaps, other people will mention their small ideas in comments.

I changed the messages on my home and cell phone voicemails yesterday afternoon. If you were to call (and no, I'm not posting my phone numbers on the Internet), you'd hear something like this:

"Hi, this is XXXXXXXXXX. I'd like to ask you to please vote for Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and other Democratic candidates on your local ballot on November 4. You'll be doing a favor to your family, your community and your country.

"Please leave a message after the tone."

Perhaps this is a little pretentious; maybe it's annoying to people who call. But, I figure every little reminder helps.
