Not objecting to the message - I agree that having fundraisers on 9/11 is deplorable.  Just saying that the signage could be improved...

known and closely observed Mr. Goode for many years and whose admiration for him has diminished in direct correlation to the closeness of observation, I would suggest that the problem lies not in the signage but in the man.

After much thought on the subject, I have concluded that Mr. Goode is shameless.  For whatever reason, he is an individual who has been so consumed by rage and a fanatical determination to stay in elective office that in situations where most would feel shame he only sees an obstacle to that to which he is entitled.  His outlook does not make him an especially admirable public servant, but it does make him a dangerously effective politician.

Let's hope that we see the end of that effectiveness this year.
