John McCain Voted to Let American Children Die

I wish I were making this up.

John McCain has the single worst record on children's issues in the United States senate.

Let that sink in for a second.  There is no member of the US Senate who is worse on children's issues than the Republican nominee for President, John McCain.

From the Children's Defense Fund 2007 Scorecard:

Sen. Wayne Allard (R-CO) 30%
Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY) 30%
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) 30%
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) 20%
Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID) 30%
Sen. James W. DeMint (R-SC) 20%
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) 30%
Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) 30%
Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) 20%
Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) 30%
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) 10%
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) 30%
Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) 20%

Here's a sampling of the bills McCain opposed:

Protect Children from Unsafe Medications

Extend Health Coverage to 4.1 Million More Uninsured Children

Extend Health Coverage to 3.1 Million More Uninsured Children

Fund Child Health and Education

Support Tax Relief for Low-Income Families with Children

John McCain has a lot of damned gall publishing a disgusting ad implying Barack Obama doesn't defend children.

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.  But there are cowardly acts politicians take that deserve to ruin their careers.  John McCain is an enemy of America's children.  In November he needs to pay the price.

That explains it (thudfactor - 9/10/2008 7:29:35 AM)
I wondered why McCain went so strongly after teaching children how to protect themselves against sexual predators. Now I know why.
