Where's Jim Webb?

The lights of the party were at the convention in Denver, but I'm wondering, with all the surrogates (Clinton, Sebelius, Rendell, even Mayor Koch, who I have to remind myself, is still alive), fanning out to fight for the Obama/Biden ticket, where's Jim Webb?

If you check his site at http://webb.senate.gov/, he's working away on the Hill and throughout the state, but with his strong following in Virginia's toughest regions (read: military, gun owners, etc.) during his own campaign, wouldn't you think Senator Born Fighting would be hitting Roanoke, Lynchburg, Newport News, etc. for the campaign?

Just wondering... and wondering what the rest of you think.

He was at the convention . . . (JPTERP - 9/9/2008 9:42:03 PM)

My guess is that he's probably spent part of the long recess with family (e.g. last week).  The Senate went back into session today.

My guess is that he'll probably be out on the campaign trail for Obama and Warner as we get closer to election day.
