Super Secret Super Weapon? (jsrutstein - 9/7/2008 7:53:02 PM)
Does anyone have any idea what Bob Woodward was talking about on 60 Minutes tonight?  He says the U.S. has developed a capability as revolutionary as the introduction of the tank.  He says we can precisely track, target, and kill both Sunni and Shia terrorist leaders.  He says he knows, but can't give any more details.  Assuming this is true, I wonder if we can deploy this capability in other problematic areas, such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, or even Iran.

If you ask John McCain (Pain - 9/7/2008 7:58:20 PM)

If you ask the McCain campaign, then the secret weapon is wearing lipstick, but I would tend to think that it's not really that.  But, since no one will be allowed to ask her any questions any time soon, we may never know.

Best not to speculate on classified matters.

Afghanistan (South County - 9/7/2008 10:29:50 PM)
No one talked about it at the convention because its been in the same awkward situation since 2001.  The party in power doesn't want to advertise that they haven't made much progress in the central front in the war on terrorism in 7 years.  Terrorists and Taliban fighters continue using Pakistan as a safe haven, and until we get Pakistan to do someting about it, or we do it ourselves, we're going to be running in neutral.
