As the Republicans hold their convention in Minnesota on the one day a year honoring labor, they shamelessly force convention hall workers, police, firemen, and city workers to lose their one holiday celebrating them this year.
I'm almost certain that nobody in this party for a moment thought about the working men and women responsible for operations. Men and women who have seen their wages decline, their rights to unionize taken away, and their healthcare benefits eroded.
This Republican party is not just ignorant of labor - they are downright hostile towards the working class in this country. Their positions on trade, immigration, unionization, healthcare, and worker's rights are simply put: reprehensible.
