Spotlight on Virginia Never Brighter

You can't find it online, but Delegates found it on their doorsteps this morning.  The print edition of the New York Times today, shows Richmond's own delegate Jane Van Ostern overwhelmed in the moment of Obama's Nomination. It's a beautiful picture, a beautiful moment, and it says a lot about the importance of Virginia.

Fairfax Delegate Suchada Langley was quick to point out that first, "Jane is awesome, she's been working so hard and doing so much, but she's not alone. She'd be the first to tell you that it took an army of Virginia volunteers to make that moment.

Jane's not even alone in this picture. See, right there is [Fairfax Committee Chair] Scott [Surovel], and Chris [Ambrose], and Bob Brink doing his his best imitation of Harry Truman. But if you look, right there, really close, there's our Fairfax canvas t-shirt."

It's a real testament to the importance of Virginia this year that we are seated and featured so prominently. We absolutely have to make this happen. The spotlight is on Virginia. The future will be decided here.

Now, more than ever is time to get Fired Up!

Great Coverage for VA in NYT (hereinva - 8/28/2008 1:24:24 PM)
Not certain how other local Virginia newspapers are covering/including the DNConvention, but the Fredericksburg area newspaper "Free Lance Star" is pathetic. But then, thats probably a compliment to the Heritage Foundation "inspired" FLS owners/editors.
