VA Dems Love Wilder and Patrick

The nation's first black Governor, Doug Wilder is an American original. Introducing Deval Patrick at the Virginia Delegates today he jokes that there's no good being first, unless there's a second. One Governor Deval Patrick got involved in politics to bring the American dream home to those who have had to do without. We're only 54 years away from Brown v. Board of Education, when the nation was legally segregated.

Virginians are always gracious, I have found. I hope to become the man that Douglas Wilder described. Every time I hear Doug Wilder, it fills me up, makes me want to stand taller.
