The current Washingtonian magazine's "Best & Worst of Congress" list has three members of the Virginia delegation in different categories.

Jim Webb: #1 "Rising Star" in the Senate (Webb got more votes than the other top two - Claire McCaskill and John Thune - combined!)

John Warner: #3 "Best Dressed" (right behind Barack Obama, who clocks in at #2)

Eric Cantor: #1 "Rising Star" in the House and #3 "Member I'd Like to See as President in 2012."

DAMN SKIPPY!

Eric Cantor?!? (Ron1 - 8/26/2008 12:11:47 PM)
Uhhh, no.

I for one hope the Republican party continues to believe the answer to its problems is John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Roy Blunt, et al. Corrupt buffoons, all of 'em.

PLEASE John McCain pick Eric Cantor for your VP pick!

It's easy to be a "star" in the Senate (relawson - 8/26/2008 5:40:14 PM)
To stand out, all one must do is represent their constituants and not sell out to special interests.

That is such a rare trait in Congress that standing out in that crowd is easy.  There are just a handfull of Senators that I think belong there - the rest need to be replaced by good Democrats.  Jim Webb is one of the few "good guys".

If Eric Cantor became president... (Kindler - 8/26/2008 8:29:37 PM)
...I'd consider moving to China for a more progressive atmosphere...
