Who says Governor Kaine doesn't have a sense of humor?  Last night in Denver, the Governor unveiled the new "Moving Virginia Forward" logo, lifting spirits and eyebrows across the Mile High City.

That's great.

Have you seen NLS? (KathyinBlacksburg - 8/26/2008 11:53:30 AM)
Check out the eyebrow here  This is great.  I think I'll look at it every time the lying Repugs trot out one of their nasty ads (like the defammatory lie of Weather Underground connections).

Meanwhile, Tim Kaine has an expressive face.  So what!  He's alive, for God's sake, not facially and brain-dead like the soul-less people reflected back from the eyes of the Bush administration and John McCain.  They probably have a few more  Rovian attacks up their sleeve this week.  So follow my lead.  Check out the eyebrow! Even if you've already seen it, the "eyebrow" at NLS will make you smile too.

Another Rx might be to re-listen to Michelle Obama's great speech last night.  The best speech ever delivered by a First Lady.  I have watched every Democratic Convention since 1952.  And ours this year is off to a great start.

For the record, I do not share NLS's negative view of the gov.  (i.e., the reference to his "not so excellency").  But the eyebrow, well, what's not to appreciate?

Only somewhat related, but... (Lowell - 8/26/2008 2:11:12 PM)
...I just got this from Sam Rasoul.

This week Democrats from around the nation attend and watch the events unfold in Denver with high expectations of success this November.  I am proud to complete a ticket with both Senator Obama and Governor Warner and thrilled for Virginia as we will be the focus of so much excitement.

We have an opportunity this year to show the world that our party believes in principles; an opportunity to put partisanship and power below the needs of the people. With questions looming about energy, the economy, and the integrity of our republic, we must stand tall together as Americans against those interests who seek profit over progress.

We know that the END goal is helping our battered families survive and rebuild, and we know that fighting as Democrats is an MEANS to that END.  Together, we pledge not lose sight of that END that unifies us.

Join me tonight as Virginia proudly sends one of our own to the national stage and again on Thursday as we celebrate the shattered ceilings that have fallen this cycle.

I'll be fighting for you.

The real joke is Kaine's laughable record (martin lomasney - 8/26/2008 8:53:09 PM)
especially his abject obsequiousness to Dominion Power, his failure to hold anyone accountable for the VTech massacre, his failure on the Tysons Tunnel, his failure on transportation . . . .

Come to think of it, what has this poser accomplished in 3+ years, besides wasting 3+ years?

Tonight's Daily Show (JamesBenjamin - 8/26/2008 11:32:31 PM)
Not sure if its been mentioned, but Tim Kaine was on the Daily Show tonight (it was taped at noon, apparently?) I just caught the interview, he was actually pretty funny.
