I'm letting this article speak for itself:

GOP opens 'war room' at Democratic convention

By ANDREW TAYLOR, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 57 minutes ago

DENVER - They're grossly outnumbered by a swarm of Democrats, but national Republicans have set up shop in Denver, hoping to thrust themselves into the media's coverage of the Democratic convention.

While the spotlight naturally is focused on Barack Obama, national Republicans have set up an effort to grab media coverage, or at least offer some balance to the Democrats' show.

The GOP effort includes a "war room" and media center less than a mile from the convention hall and making top Republicans such as Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney available for press conferences and satellite interviews to television stations across the country, especially in swing states...

Ok maybe I'll add commentary:)

I'm tired, after a long day at work, but I thought this needed to be brought to people's attention.  I think its pretty clear the Washington Monthly article, "The Sudden Decline and Eventual Fall of the GOP", has been proven right.  When in 2004 the GOP defeated us Democrats, the Reagan heirs were at their zeneith, much like Democrats in the 70s.  Sure they kicked the ass of the ass, but like Reagan dying in 2005 it was prophetic. 2006 election was the floodgates breaking open a bit like Carter coming to power anticipating the anti-Washington,anti government era .  Finally, McCain is like Carter, in that he rose as their party bearer to lead a party that had abandoned their principles along the way or were too blinded by the changing times. This GOP plot in Denver is really the last gasp. We've got the winning team, let us make sure we put the nail in the coffin. We need to remind people of the 7 houses, the cuddling connection McCain is to Cheney-who will be at RNC convention , and of course Romney no one wanted, cause he's the jerk.

Sorry about that (presidentialman - 8/25/2008 1:15:30 PM)
I meant to provide a link. I did think that people might be able to help me and thank you for doing so.  I knew that I at least needed to provide some of my own words.  Which I did.
