This morning, you have your chance to watch four possible running mates, two each for John McSame and Barack Obama.  Should be interesting.

FACE THE NATION (CBS, WUSA), 10:30 a.m.: Rice; Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) and Indiana Gov. Evan Bayh (D).

MEET THE PRESS (NBC, WRC), 10:30 a.m.: Rice; Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) and Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D).

Thanks. (Lowell - 8/17/2008 9:32:50 AM)
I got this from the Washington Post, which we know is ALWAYS right! :)

further abd further right as time goes on n/t (teacherken - 8/17/2008 12:20:33 PM)

Biden is getting a ton of talk these days (DanG - 8/17/2008 10:48:17 AM)
Frankly, I wouldn't mind Biden at all.  I think Bayh is a safer choice, but Biden is definitely my second.

After watching the Sunday Morning Talking Heads, I agreed with them on pretty much one thing; Obama needs to go on the attack soon.

I agree. (Lowell - 8/17/2008 10:58:41 AM)
Biden would be a fine choice because he's got the foreign policy and national security experience we need at this time.  I also agree, Obama needs to take the gloves off and really go after McSame. Time's a wastin'.

and Joe Biden is on the ground in Georgia checking conditions first hand (Shawn - 8/17/2008 11:15:27 AM)
getting the up close look a VP with foreign policy experience should have ... to provide an informed opinion to our next Commander In Chief

I know he said no... (doctormatt06 - 8/17/2008 11:32:58 AM)
But has anybody else noticed that Jim Webb is noticeably absent from the line-up for the Convention on "Securing America's Future"???  I mean...he is like the Go-to-guy for the Democrat's in the Senate on Security Issues, and could be a good way to introduce the Democrat's successful GI BILL

this one actually makes more sense (totallynext - 8/17/2008 3:03:34 PM)
I am not sure of the law - but Doesn't the Governor get to select the replacement Senator - if Webb is selected?

Also - could Kaine select himself for Senator???? Ha!

So - How did they do? (totallynext - 8/17/2008 3:05:35 PM)
missed all the shows?  Pawlenty gets a little pissy.  Jindal - Bob Barr would pull a crap load of votes if Jindal is on the ticket.

Kaine does well (Pain - 8/17/2008 3:58:41 PM)

I saw Kaine last week and again this morning, and I think he does very well as an Obama surrogate.

Kaine to Karl Rove (Barbara - 8/17/2008 5:37:57 PM)
Didn't see the shows, but saw Kaine's response to Karl Rove on CNN.

I'm still pulling for Biden.

Kaine ripped Rove pretty good (vatechhokies50 - 8/17/2008 11:03:23 PM)
I agree.. I'm pulling for Joe B.
