Michael sent me the following e-mail (in extended) this morning so I listened to his latest release "One Great Mornin'". The man nails it.

Michael has been active in the political arena for sometime now, and he is using his talent as a country musician to support his beliefs.

Let's all cheer him on by visiting his website, downloading the song for free, and passing it on to everyone on our email list!

Way to go Michael!

We just finished mixing a song called "One Great Mornin' (The South's Gonna Rise Again)" that folks may be interested in -- and so here gettin' the word out to left and liberal bloggers, among other folks.

The San Francisco Chronicle indeed called it "An ultra-left wing Confederate call to arms."  Words one doesn't expect all to appear in the same sentence...

A DJ in Jacksonville introduced it saying, "Here's a song that says what every progressive Southerner thinks every single day, and it tells the truth."

And a few days we got an email from a fellow in Birmingham saying it brought him to tears.

Click to http://www.michaelkoppy.com/li...  Spread the word to other lefties and liberals in the South -- we can ALL use as much support and encouragement as possible!

Woody Paul Chrisman (of Riders in the Sky):  fiddle
J.P. Fitting (late of Doctor Hook):  bass
            Cliff Carothers (Malice):  drums
            Garrett Soden (Central):  second guitar
            Michael Koppy:  guitar, vocal

We're giving it away free to anyone on the left can use it to help mobilize fellow-Southerners leading up to the election.  Download as many copies as you want, email to it whomever you want.  It's free.  (We also have high-quality CDs for radio and television broadcast -- call your local station and send 'em to the web site.  We'll get what they need to 'em ASAP.)

Right now three states in the Old South are neck-and-neck -- Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida -- with others having margins in just single digits.

In 2004 I organized a bunch of people from New York, LA, San Francisco, and Nashville to join me in my old hometown of Tallahassee -- to help put Kerry over the top in Florida.  A lot of damn good THAT work did!  I'm hoping "One Great Mornin' (The South's Gonna Rise Again)" might help accomplish some ACTUAL GOOD this time around.

Let's INSPIRE and MOBILIZE folks all across Dixie -- let's flip as many states as we can OUT of the Republican column and INTO the blue on November 4th!

Yours Truly,

Michael Koppy
