Playing defense? (Teddy - 8/2/2008 6:00:37 PM)
What a shame, having to play defense so often, but I suppose that is McCain's plan, to trip up Obama's momentum. It sure has worked for McCain so far. Obama really needs someone else to attack back, to do most of the responding and defending so Obama can get back to inspiring and laying out his programs, garnering positive publicity rather than being presented as eating crow, as Fox is sure to do. Obama doesn't show much hubris here, does he?

When Obama said of the Spears and Hilton celebrity smear ad, "is this the best McCain can do?" I though "Uh, oh."  Knowing Rove's history, I was sure something more dastardly was in the works, and McCain's little-Rovers were chortling to themselves, "Wait'll he sees the next one!" McCain is such a weak candidate, I guess his handlers have decided he can "win" only if they destroy Obama's character, and, since that will take time, they are starting early and they will relentlessly continue with ever more filthy attacks, the more absurd the better (from their point of view). It is my hope and belief that they have misjudged Obama's staying power... it takes more than one season of thunder sludge rain to wear down a Mount Everest.

If we speak about mccain and Bush, mccain loses
If he can direct the conversation to Obama, he wins a poison landscape.

complaint about Obama (pvogel - 8/3/2008 10:08:54 AM)
I hate to say it, but i cant distribute campaign lit about Obamas energy plan after he has flipped on it. Makes me  look bad.
The lit does not mention offshore drilling.
