DeLay's ARMPAC Gifts to Virginia Republicans

As you probably know, Americans for a Republican Majority (ARMPAC) was (indicted) ex-House Majority Leader Thomas D. DeLay's "leadership committee."  In other words, ARMPAC was part of DeLay's intricate, slimy "money carousel" that he used to reward supporters and to enhance his power.  Interestingly, in August 2005,  the Federal Election Commission (FEC) cited ARMPAC for "misstating accounts and failing to report debts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars."

Meanwhile, according to the FEC database, ARMPAC gave heavily to Virginia Republicans.  For instance:

Sen. "Cowboy" George Allen: $10,000 from ARMPAC (3/27/00 - two $5,000 donations on that date)

Rep. Jo Ann "Candy Cane" Davis (R-1st): $15,000 from ARMPAC (6/28/00, 8/21/00, 6/26/01)

Rep. Thelma "No Time for Military Funerals" Drake (R-2nd): $10,000 from ARMPAC (9/27/04)

Rep. Randy "100% Christian Coalition" Forbes (R-4th): $30,000 from ARMPAC (4/5/01, 5/9/01, 10/2/01, 3/18/02, 6/17/03 - two on that date)

Rep. Virgil "MZM" Goode (R-5th): $5,000 from ARMPAC (10/20/00)

Rep. Eric "Abramoff" Cantor (R-7th): $15,000 from ARMPAC (6/28/00, 8/21/00, 6/20/02)

Republican Party of Virgina: $10,000 from ARMPAC (10/4/00, 10/1/04)

Also, check this one out:

(Disgraced) Former Rep. Ed "Gay Homophobe" Schrock (R-2nd): $20,000 from ARMPAC (12/29/99, 3/20/00, 6/28/00, 12/17/01 - two on that date)

Verrry interesting.  Now, why would anyone vote for these people?
