Glenn Nye 24-Hour Fundraising Blog-a-thon Starts Today

For those of you that don't know him, Glenn Nye is an impressive young Democrat who is running to unseat Republican Thelma Drake in Virginia's 2nd District.  Among other things, Glenn has served his country as a civilian in places such as Kosovo, Bosnia, and Afghanistan.  

This year, Glenn Nye is considered a definite Congressional pick-up opportunity in Virginia, specifically against Rep. Thelma "Dick Cheney" Drake in the 2nd CD.  Just recently, Drake demonstrated what kind of person she is by holding a fundraiser with Karl "contempt of Congress" Rove, aka "Bush's brain."  In general, Drake has been a consistent voice against the environment, veterans, homeowners, health care, education, personal freedoms, and pretty much anything else we care about. She's gotta go, and she WILL go if we all pitch in and help Glenn Nye.

That's why, starting today at noon, there will be a 24-hour fundraiser for Glenn on DailyKos.  I'll be blogging from 4 to 6 pm today, followed by - among others - Eileen Levandoski of VB Dems (6-8 pm), "Green Miles" (10 am-Noon tomorrow), and Glenn Nye himself (Noon-2 pm tomorrow).
