Tim Craig of the Washington Post is reporting the mysterious appearance Friday evening of signs planted along the route to the Gilmore-Warner debate Friday night toting McCain for President and Warner for U. S. Senate.

Some motorists who traveled to The Homestead Friday night for the U.S. Senate debate between Democrat Mark R. Warner and Republican James S. Gilmore III were doing double-takes as they drove from Warm Springs to Hot Springs in Bath County.

Here is the link to the remainder of the story:

So, it seems Jim Wilson, a longtime Republican political operative, has been responsible for this and the Warner for Senate campaign has been paying his mileage.

But the outrage of the week is that Mr. Wilson is expected to be hired by the DEMOCRATIC Joint Campaign!  Yes, the DEMOCRATIC Joint Campaign is hiring a Republican operative who supports John McCain for President.

This whole situation is outrageous - and someone needs to put a stop to this.  So, if you are as outraged as I am, pick up the phone and call the Chair of the Virginia Democratic Party, Dick Cranwell, at 540-344-1000, and express your outrage.  And call Levar Stoney at 804-644-1966, ext., 225 and ask him what the hell is going on over at the joint campaign.

This is all so outrageous - we are all working so hard to register voters to turn Virginia blue and the Warner camapign, the joint campaign, along with the state Democratic party are working behind our backs, spending our contributions to hire Republican political hacks who support John McCain.
