Have You Seen This Candidate?

Everyone in the 11th CD knows the Democratic candidate for the US House - Gerry Connolly, the brash, loud, smart, larger-than-life guy who's been a fixture in Fairfax County politics since 1995.

Connolly is rumored to have a Republican running against him.  But no one has heard or seen from this alleged person, which raises the question:

Does this candidate really exist, or is he just Tom Davis's imaginary friend?

Local Republicans are starting to raise concerns as to the whereabouts of this person - let's call him "Candidate X."  (His real name is not known, though it is rumored to sound something like "Flim-flam.")  Some have suggested placing his picture on milk cartons - which could work if anyone actually knew what he looked like.

If you have any information on Candidate X, please contact RK so that we may turn him over safely to the proper authorities.

Seems that Connolly is one lucky sob.  Not the voters unfortunately.  Seems this updated version of the old Tom & Jerry cartoon involves an arrangement where Tom passes off to Jerry (he calls himself Gerry, but whatever) the real estate developers Jerry doesn't already have at his disposal.  And the cozy little arrangement continues as Fairfax continues to overbuild, ignore the concerns of many neighborhoods, and generally treat the public about the way our illustrious President does.

We have yellow dogs and blue dogs.  Tragically, next January one of the wealthiest congressional districts in the country is going to send to Congress a filthy dog.
