Awesome (vatechhokies50 - 6/14/2008 12:47:29 PM)
We are getting close to the two-year anniversary of Macaca!!

Also, anniversary (Teddy - 6/14/2008 1:10:32 PM)
of the discovery and publication of bigot George's Jewish ancestry, too

Advantage of hindsight (Teddy - 6/14/2008 1:09:25 PM)
gives us an extra insight into Russert's interview: how Allen and Webb each handled Tim's polite but probing persistence during the interview. I got a chuckle out of Webb's suppressed grin at George's antics.

Compare the situation in Iraq then with now.  Think about the "surge," combined with the conversion of Anbar's Sunni tribes against al Qaeda (NOT a result of military force, but a political negotiation for which we are paying the Sunnis cold cash), about where we are with Iran today, and about the Iraqi government's showing some spine in rejecting Bush's colonization of their country when they refused to agree to the proposed status of forces. And did not Allen claim the US did not want permanent bases in Iraq, yet that is exactly what Bush's proposals envision and John McCain approves? Have we really made any progress, is a Democratic Congress really making a difference, has anybody really listened to Webb?
