No individual licensed by a health regulatory board shall assist with or perform any intervening medical technology, whether in vivo or in vitro, for or on an unmarried woman that completely or partially replaces sexual intercourse as the means of conception, including, but not limited to, artifical insemination by donor, cryopreservation of gametes and embryos, invitro fertilization, embryo transfer, gamete intrafallopian tube transfer, and low tubal ovum transfer.

Bob Marshall trangresses the bounds of humanity yet again with a his proposed HB 187, prefiled with the VA legislature yesterday.

Essentially if a lesbian couple wishes to have a child, in vitro is not an option.  One of the women must physically have sex with a man.  If that woman is in a long-term, committed relationship, she must have sex with someone who is not her partner-for-life.

Look at this from the perspective of a loving, committed lesbian couple.  Better yet, let's look at this from the perspective of a devoted life-long committed heterosexual couple.  Let's say a heterosexual couple Bob and Lisa are living together and plan to for the rest of their lives.  For whatever reason they cannot conceive.  In order to have children, Bob would have to stand by and watch as another man impregnates his beloved.

I think something like this happened in the movie "Braveheart".  It seems that in the Dark Ages, feudal lords were able to claim the right of "Prima Nocte" and ravish the new brides of their peasants on the night of their betrothal.

Marshall's bill denounces the very idea that lesbians are capable of love?

The Dark Ages have found a true hero in our Delegate Bob Marshall.

May the prospective rapists of lesbians herald Mr. Marshall's largess!

Bravo!
