RK Poll of Kaine's Connolly Endorsement: 65% Disapprove, 18% Approve

This one wasn't even close, with 65.1% (47.7%+17.4%) of RK poll respondents saying they disapprove of the governor's endorsement of Gerry Connolly and just 18.3% (17.4%+0.9%) saying they approve. Also interesting is how polarizing this endorsement was, with almost everyone on the positive side feeling "strongly" about it, and nearly 3/4 of people on the negative side feeling "strongly" about it as well. Finally, 16.5% of poll respondents actually feel "neutral" about this.  Perhaps those are Denneny or Alexander supporters? Or maybe they're just really, really calm people. :)

Out of the district (Jack Landers - 5/23/2008 10:31:01 AM)
Those 16.5% might also just live outside of the district. They don't have a horse in that race and don't feel the need to closely follow or root for anyone in a primary on the other side of the Commonwealth.

For my own part, I support Leslie Byrne (whatever that means, given that I live in the 5th District and can't vote for her) but I don't really follow the ins and outs of that primary very closely since it's got little to do with me.

I would bet money that most Democrats in Virginia as a whole have no idea who Gerry Connolly is.

it's called politics. get over it. (Demo08 - 5/23/2008 5:01:27 PM)
Kaine and Gerry have had a close working relationship before, during and after Tim was elected Governor. I personally think that Leslie is the better candidate and if i were in the 5th I'd vote for her. That being said the way the Raising Kaine, community has responded to this shows behavior which should have been left in the 2nd grade.

Sometimes in politics people don't agree. get over it.

5th CD? (HisRoc - 5/24/2008 1:06:07 AM)
Please do vote for Leslie in the 5th CD.  However, she is running in the 11th CD.  Even second graders know the difference.  And, they probably know better than to commit comma faults like your [Raising Kaine, community] one.

So, you get over it.
