History repeating itself, King George the VIII

I thought it was appropriate that one of today's How Things Work articles was about King Henry VIII.

King Henry's goal "was to amass riches in order to solidify the ultimate power of the monarchy".
George Bush's legacy is to amass riches for himself, Cheney and all their friends consolidating ultimate power in the executive branch.
King Henry is estimated with executing between 57,000 and 72,000 English citizens.
George Bush's death toll is 4,000+ Americans, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.

King Henry executed a more popular royal who had successfully won battles, Edward Stafford.
George Bush sacked any general that has disagreed with his Iraqi policy (resignations that are quoted as being to alleviate controversy) including the original amount of troops to send (less than 50% of that required per the professional generals).

King Henry broke with the Catholic church to establish his own church so he could do as he pleased.
George Bush put on the Supreme Court two justices who have historically written decisions/articles in favor of extreme_executive_power diminishing or overturning fair and just laws passed by the Congress and previous presidents (talk about judicial activism).  Bush has also presided over the dismantling of most of the Bill of Rights in the constitution using fear, lies and slander of rivals.

Bush's legacy is the ruin he led this country into along with his Republican cohorts - many of them here in Virginia (Forbes, Drake, Goode jump to mind).  The only way to undo (if that is even possible) the Bush Legacy is to vote Bush and all his cronies out of office.  I say start with Drake, Goode.  I would love to see Forbes booted out, but he is so entrenched in Chesapeake.  One can only pray...
