Guess where in Virginia this is and win...RK bragging rights, I guess. :)

UPDATE: "Oldsoldier" guessed correctly that this was in Fauquier County -- actually, Linden, an unincorporated area of Warren and Fauquier Counties.  Good job.

Just a guess... (snolan - 5/8/2008 7:24:22 AM)
That huge Virginia Beef farm along the East side of US-15 at the North end of Prince William County, close to the "cinder-block" castle.

The flora looks about right, and they have longhorns there.

No, sorry. (Lowell - 5/8/2008 7:35:10 AM)
In fact, not even close.  Try again! :)

Southwest (Bubby - 5/8/2008 7:38:25 AM)
Washington County by the look of the leaf-out (high elevation)and the  un-polled cattle.

Nope. (Lowell - 5/8/2008 7:52:46 AM)
Sorry, not even "warm."  Try again! :)

How about this one (tvhost - 5/8/2008 7:59:33 AM)
Amherst County... I would say my family farm but I don't think we have any...

Getting a bit closer, but... (Lowell - 5/8/2008 8:02:44 AM)
...still far away. :(

Bedford County (martha - 5/8/2008 8:14:26 AM)
On the way from Sedalia to Forest. I have seen them!

Nope. (Lowell - 5/8/2008 8:16:13 AM)
Not even close.  Sorry!

Fauquier County/Middleburg Area (oldsoldier - 5/8/2008 8:59:08 AM)
Was stunned when I saw some on a recent trip up there.

Forgot to add (oldsoldier - 5/8/2008 12:37:32 PM)
Robert Duvall has a farm in The Plains area and I thought the cattle might be a bonus (or left-overs) from his role in Lonesome Dove.

You nailed it. (Lowell - 5/8/2008 12:40:35 PM)
The correct answer is...Linden, Virginia.  Good job!

Thanks (oldsoldier - 5/8/2008 12:56:55 PM)
I guess I haven't lost all of the powers of observation that went into my training too many years ago at taxpayer expense. Some, but not all.

Some in Orange County as well (Alter of Freedom - 5/8/2008 9:10:24 AM)

Augusta County (cvllelaw - 5/8/2008 9:24:26 AM)

We're got some near my house (Jack Landers - 5/8/2008 9:25:02 AM)
There are some longhorns that I pass on my way home in Keswick. Albemarle County. I don't know for a fact that these cattle in the picture are the ones that I see most every day, but they might be.

i would also have guessed albemarle county (notwaltertejada - 5/8/2008 6:43:15 PM)
or maybe somewhere in western fluvanna. the lanscape there looks a lot like that...one of the most beautiful parts of the state.

Hmm... (legacyofmarshall - 5/8/2008 10:00:58 AM)
I was tempted to say Valley, but seems those guesses are already taken - so I'll go way out here:

Tidewater.  Lower Peninsula.

Grayson county (S. Becker - 5/8/2008 10:38:00 AM)
I know of at least one Longhorn farm in Grayson County, along the New River.  This could possibly be that farm.

Extra Credit - Who owns these? (Shawn - 5/8/2008 4:30:46 PM)
