So we have MSNBC over the last few days running an endless loop of what's billed as an ad by the Carolina GOP, savaging Obama. The candidate himself, Mr. Straight-shooter, has condemned the ad, but, unfortunately, the state party is ignoring him and proceeding with plans to play it some more, in case cable actually decides to charge them for air time at some point.
So what do we have here?
Well, either McCain has absolutely no control over the people of his party, which kind of makes me wonder about his ability to run a country and his "commander in chief" street cred;
Or...
This is a charade we will be seeing lots more of, wherein McCain rises above the fray and maintains his dubious honor, while continuing to benefit from the work of the kneecappers on his payroll.
I vote for door number two.
