Was "Hate Group" Involved in PWC Immigration Resolution?

The latest 9500 Liberty video examines an important question facing the residents of Prince William County, VA -- and, really, facing all Americans:  How susceptible are our local governments to infiltration by Washington DC lobbying firms like Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)?  FAIR is considered by many experts to be a hate group, so when it began to surface last year that lawyers from FAIR may have written the Immigration Resolution that created social unrest and now economic hardship in a once proud and prosperous county, many residents felt intruded upon.

Another question, which we approach in our most recent series "Aftermath of the Immigration Resolution," is how well does a national immigration agenda like FAIR's (severely curtail immigration of all kinds, stop population growth, and end illegal immigration) play out on the local level?

The video was shot primarily on Dec. 14th at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights hearing where I testified to a link between FAIR and Help Save Manassas -- an assertion that was denied by Help Save Manassas President and Black Velvet Bruce Li operator Greg Letiecq.  He was so angry and insistent that I had wronged him that I notified the Civil Rights Commission that my assertion was strongly disputed and I could not corroborate it at this time.
The next day we released our first Washington Post Outlook video, which we had been working on that week.  We intended our second Washington Post video to look into the question of FAIR's link to Help Save Manassas.  We did not release the video, "Anchor Baby" = Hate Speech, until Jan. 4, in part because we had been waiting for an interview with Dan Stein, the President of FAIR.  As you can guess from the video above, we waited all afternoon into the evening on December 19th.  We tried over the next few weeks to reschedule, but Mr. Stein was fully into Republican Primary mode (supporting Tancredo first and then Romney).  When we did release the "Anchor Baby" = Hate Speech video, we avoided showing or mentioning Mr. Stein and FAIR because we were still hoping to get an interview and didn't want to anger him as we had Mr. Letiecq.  Although we have yet to interview Mr. Stein, we decided to release the video today because arguments over whether FAIR was indeed the author of the Resolution have been boiling over in the town square and on the internet with the rapid success of the new PWC-based blog AntiBVBL.net.

Looking back at my testimony, I must admit it was inaccurate to say that Help Save Manassas is a "local franchise" of FAIR. I take Mr. Hethmon at his word that he only became involved after Help Save Manassas was started and the word "franchise" does not convey as much. I apologize for my mistake.

Finally, 9500 Liberty's YouTube channel has a Playlist with more from the Civil Rights Commission hearing from which this video derives.

I repeat again (pvogel - 4/19/2008 7:55:56 PM)
Bashing immigrants is racism.    No  debate on this point.

Also, you cannot deny  a human right to migrate.   If you try, bad things will happen to you.

The republicans want the usa homeland to be a modern garden of eden.

That makes  those who want to send immigrants back   G-D.

(Only G-D can deny folks the garden of Eden.

On this Passover night, I will remind all that Hubris  can swell up too.  When we get rid of the leavoning, we get rid of hubris too.

Why doe anybody act surprised when the Pope, a leader of a church, tells us to welcome immigrants. This is biblical stuff Im talking about. Look at the  economic crisis that is worse in PWC. Thats Famine and pestilence.

Think it through.  Kaiser permanente rescinded the plan to charge 300$ co-pay for life saving drugs( Interferon, heparin, some cancer stuff)
When Obama caught wind of this, he sent a nastygram to the republican head of OPM.

search google news for "tier 4" drugs.

This is the issue I will bash republicans with.

( Also the 400% rise in gas prices during Bush. That would have made a good tax, funding soc sec, Healthcare, etc. under the republicans, exxon makes 40 billion every 3 monthes)

Also, major environmental problems with "the wall" (Lowell - 4/19/2008 8:05:16 PM)
See here for more:

The debate over the fence the United States is building along its southern border has focused largely on the project's costs, feasibility and how well it will curb illegal immigration. But one of its most lasting impacts may well be on the animals and vegetation that make this politically fraught landscape their home.

Some wildlife researchers have grown so concerned about the consequences of bisecting hundreds of miles of rugged habitat that they have talked of engaging in civil disobedience to block the fence's construction.

"This wall is so asinine, and so wrong, I am one of a dozen scientists ready to lay our bodies down in front of tractors," Healy Hamilton, who directs the Center for Biodiversity Research and Information at the California Academy of Sciences, told colleagues at a recent scientific retreat here. "This is one thing we might be able to stop."

there are so many things that are wrong with your "arguments" (notwaltertejada - 4/20/2008 1:49:11 AM)
first of all there is no such thing as a human right to migrate.
Under Article XIII of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights one has a right to free movement in and out of one's own country.
That does not give everyone the right to enter into whatever country they want whenever they feel like it. Entering a country illegaly and staying there is not only a violation of national law but also international law.
implying that people who want to actually uphold our laws are playing God is just offensive.
Of course there is no surprise that the Pope supports illegal immigrants, they are filling pews in the Catholic Church that is struggling to maintain membership.

And as for the environment...the biggest thing we can do to help it slow population growth. Our earth will reach its carrying capacity in a few years. We hit 300,000,000 million people in this country last fall and have added several million more since then. Do we really need to bring in millions upon millions of additional people? The environmentally sound answer is no...we simply cannot support such numbers in the future in a way that is healthy for the earth.

Whether or not (Lowell - 4/20/2008 6:25:24 AM)
the population of the United States is an issue, it has nothing to do with the direct environmental impacts of the "wall" on migrating species.  Please stay on topic.

it is an issue (notwaltertejada - 4/20/2008 12:53:07 PM)
and that is a fact. Our out of control population is a fact that people find very convenient to ignore. i agree that the wall is a bad idea in general...in part because of its effect on the local environment in the southwest. I was simply addressing the issue of immigration and how it effects our environment in general. if you want to talk about staying on topic your post about "the wall" had nothing to do with the subject of the thread or the previous post so i suggest you follow your own advice.

thanks. (pvogel - 4/20/2008 6:56:43 AM)
The wall is bad for the ecology.

the last part of the video was the most important (floodguy - 4/21/2008 11:46:15 PM)
what PWC is doing is a test and will help speed up the process for the federal gov't.  I've stated that plenty of times.

On the flip side, what did the anti-immigration reform proponents offer to rectify problems w/i the county?
