After watching all of last night's "debate" from Phili I thought this interview did a much better job of giving a lot more insight into the man who I support to be the next President of the United States.

check that out, he can play! (floodguy - 4/17/2008 11:34:21 AM)
I didn't know it this, I'm impressed, he's 46!.  I'm an avid b-ball player myself and funny, I'm also an avid windsurfer.  John Kerry's attempt to show the media his "stuff" in calmer conditions during his campaign, was a tragedy.  What was he thinking?

If you want to really know who someone really is, play golf with them, not b-ball.

IMO his game would have fit right in with Houston Cougar b-ball (Shawn - 4/17/2008 12:02:37 PM)
as far a golf ... I agree that playing golf with someone has always given me the best sports opportunity to check out what a person is really like ...

That was a very pretty layup; way to beat the traffic under the basket (Catzmaw - 4/17/2008 12:44:27 PM)
Okay, he can play. This was a very interesting and entertaining story, but it really does do a better job of giving you an idea of who Obama is than all the talking head nonsense I've seen elsewhere.

Pretty sketchy J, though (aznew - 4/17/2008 3:56:36 PM)
I'd let him shoot all day from outside until he proved he could make one.

Yeah, even he admitted the J is in pretty bad shape. (Catzmaw - 4/17/2008 6:17:38 PM)

The audacity, indeed... (KathyinBlacksburg - 4/17/2008 3:36:07 PM)
Loved the video clip.  I didn't play when I was young.  But as a mom of a player, I learned to love the sport.  Pure beauty.  Now, as a rather outrageous Nanny (ie, grandma, but I prefer Nanny), this past weekend I once again, at the tender age of sixty-something, attempted basketball with my grandsons and daughter (who still plays and has a court in her back yard).  In short, I had the game of my life.  Shot 90%.  And my daughter, who had finally that same day given me my first ever shooting lesson, said, "No more shooting lessons for you!"

Our family "day of games" (which usually include everything from football, bball, tag, checkers, cards, etc.) was the best ever.  And this weekend, I am heading to the sporting goods store to buy me a bball.  Unless they read this blog, my family members will have no idea that I will actually practice before my next visit! :-)

Ha! That's like the time the kids challenged me to learn (Catzmaw - 4/17/2008 6:21:21 PM)
rifle shooting at scout camp and I ended up winning the Scoutmaster shoot later that week.  A couple of years later I took up skeet shooting and did pretty well with that, too.  One of the instructors told me he loves it when the moms come to camp and ask to learn because they pay attention to every word and follow every instruction to the letter.  Plus, absolutely no pressure.  No one expects you to do well so you can just go out and have fun.

I was impressed Michelle had her family check out Barack.  Her brother seems like a great guy.
