I just wanted to point you to several excellent blog posts in recent days on the immigration issue here in Virginia.

*Vince's diary at Too Conservative is superb, written from a Christian, Republican perspective.

*Karen at Anonymous is a Woman once again proves why I say she's the best, or certainly one of the best writers in the Virginia blogosphere.  Also, see her super comments in this NLS diary.

*Speaking of NLS, here is the diary that kicked off the much-needed conversation.

*Finally, check out the superb new blog, Anti-BVBL, which is experiencing one of the most successful launches to a blog I think I've ever seen here in Virginia.

Great work, everybody.

P.S. Whoops, I almost forgot the 9500 Liberty YouTube channel by Eric Byler and Annabel Park.  These two individuals have demonstrated how important it is for good people not to just sit by and do nothing when people are being persecuted and harassed.  Thank you, Eric and Annabel!

Too conservative  is realistic indeed. I have  republican friends who donate to casa de maryland. We shouldnt  flog the whole conservative movement on this one issue.

That said, there is a whole universe of issues I take umbrage at with our  right handed friends.

Now, let's think (LonewackoDotCom - 4/15/2008 10:57:55 PM)
Regarding the first link, see this for an illustration of why instate tuition for IllegalAliens is anti-American: youtube.com/watch?v=WZkvEmSy1vk

See this for a Huck lie about that program: youtube.com/watch?v=nIbDAVQMKGM

Here's another Huck issue: youtube.com/watch?v=1KxDhesWutc

Here's why illegal immigration is not humanitarian. It also needs to be pointed out that there are about 5 billion people worse off than Mexicans, and the first link's solution of letting them all come here (just as long as they can make it across the desert) is an extremely bad public policy.

No one should trust the policy judgment of anyone who writes posts like this or the first link. The other links probably have issues as well, but those are left as an exercise.
