Library Journal "starred" review for Netroots Rising

As you may recall, my friend Nate Wilcox and I have a co-authored book on the netroots coming out in late June/early July. According to our editor at Praeger, having a "*starred* review in Library Journal (April 1 issue) is a big deal and translates into buzz and sales." Also, our editor says that this is a "rave review." I've never written a book before, so I'll take his word for it! :)

Congratulations! (Susan Mariner - 4/8/2008 10:00:02 PM)
This is really exciting, Lowell!  I'm going to have to pre-order :-)

Thanks Susan! (Lowell - 4/9/2008 9:05:52 AM)
You're in the book, by the way, as one of the superstars of the Webb netroots movement.  Go Webb Wagons! :)

Very exciting. (Barbara - 4/8/2008 10:45:50 PM)
How about an auction for signed copies to raise money for one of our favorite causes?

Must I wait that long? (Ingrid - 4/9/2008 8:48:05 AM)
Congrats, Lowell!  Do I qualify for an advance copy?  :-)

Well, you can read (Lowell - 4/9/2008 8:59:56 AM)
my (edited) chapter on the Draft James Webb movement here if you'd like.

That is a great chapter , Lowell (Hugo Estrada - 4/9/2008 10:20:18 AM)
I was just going to glance at the article, but I ended up reading the whole thing. I couldn't stop grinning and smiling as I read through it. It is stories like these that fuel my faith in democracy.

Thanks, much appreciated! (Lowell - 4/9/2008 10:38:18 AM)
The main point of this book, aside from teling the story of the "netroots rising," is to illustrate how citizen activists can make a difference in their democracy by getting involved.  Obviously, it doesn't have to be through blogging or even the internet, but these are powerful tools for connecting people, informing them (and, yes, MISinforming them at times, although I'd argue not nearly as bad as the corporate media) and motivating them to take action.

Great read (Ingrid - 4/9/2008 4:44:43 PM)
Nice read, Lowell!  I am anxiously awaiting your book.  Hope you will autograph it for me.  :-)

Sure, now about that parking ticket... (Lowell - 4/10/2008 6:30:16 AM)
...ha, just kidding! :)

Which parking ticket? (Ingrid - 4/10/2008 3:13:01 PM)
The one I just paid for Jerry?
