While the vast majority of users come here for good, fair, and honest reasons, not all do.  The vast majority also understand good internet and blogging behavior, but unfortunately some do not.  For those who do not understand these basic concepts or are here to intentionally disregard them, below are Raising Kaine's guidelines and the consequences of failing to follow them.  RK administrators will deal with violations as per these guidelines as best as possible, but we reserve the right to deal with each situation as the case warrants.

(H/T to Jerome Armstrong at MyDD for publishing a similar list which this one is based upon).

* Users who unnecessarily bash or attack, including ad hominem attacks, any users on the site are subject to immediate banning.  Our actions will be dictated by the specific circumstances.

* Users that post comments that do nothing but name-call, denigrate other users, or make inflammatory remarks will be warned first and banned if warnings are not heeded.  Extreme violations will be banned outright.

* No single or two-line diaries.  Diaries this short are comments.

*From the Daily Kos diary guidelines:

Diaries should be substantive. A good guideline is that if you don't have at least three solid paragraphs to write about your subject, you should probably post a comment in an open thread, or in a recent diary or front-page post that covers a topic relevant to what you wish to write about.

* Do not create a diary just to attack another user or simply to instigate a fight.

* Do not copy large sections or entire pieces of copyrighted material.  Use small outtakes to make your point and link to the copyrighted source.  Violations will be warned and given a small amount of time to fix the problem.  If it is not fixed within the given timeframe the diary will be deleted.

* Users who are excessively or pointlessly bashing the Democratic Party or its candidates, or are being Republican trolls, are subject to banning. Again, our actions will be dictated by the specific circumstances.

* Users who are spamming the site with unrelated material or the like will be banned.

*The use of profanity is strongly discourage and could lead to comments being deleted or the user being banned for repeated violations.
