Hope, Courage, Action, Change - UPDATE with Video

After weeks of the Clinton "Kitchen Sink" campaign, it's time for Obama supporters to turn Hope into Courage, turn Courage into Action, and turn Action into real Change.

After weeks under siege from the media and from the Clintons, Obama today reveals his true self.  Beyond the obfuscation of personal attacks, beyond the intentional racial, sexual, and regional divisions enforced by those who strive to keep us apart, Obama today transcends, includes, and unites.

His speech is now available, and he will deliver it in a few minutes.  It is a masterwork, possibly a piece of literature that will stand as a critical moment in the racial history of this nation.  But the same forces that have transformed Pastor Jeremiah Wright into a cartoon of hate, who have foisted this message into the media, will fight against Obama's powerful message.

Thus, it is incumbent upon those of us who support  the Obama candidacy to take Courage in this moment, take Action right now, and Change the direction of the discourse.

  1.  Send an email to everyone in your address book and tell them that you saw/read/listened to the speech (whatever is correct) and that it is wonderful (as long as you believe it was so) and that they should watch it on their own WITHOUT listening to the spin artists out there.

  2. When you get hold of the Youtube please do the same.

  3. Step away from your frequent blogs and go to the comment and message boards on the national, local papers online and tell them that you liked the speech, are proud of Obama and that together -- one million strong -- we are going to change this country. Send out an LTE as well but first act online.

It's time to turn Hope into Courage now.  It's time to turn Courage into Action now.  It's time to turn Action into real change...NOW!

Hit the blogs, make your voice heard.  Hit the online paper comments.  Distribute the truth about Obama to everyone you can.

Today could well determine whether or not Barack Obama becomes President of the United States.  Can we change the narrative?  Can we push back against the forces that want this country divided?  Can we look back next January and know that we did everything we could to change the future?

Yes We Can!

Thank you so much for posting this.  It inspired me to make my own diary entry about the same inspiring speech.

It changes my own motivation from best remaining candidate to most inspiring candidate - which is huge.
