Obama Campaing Predicted Last Night . . . a month ago!

Hey, anyone remember that email that was "accidentally" forwarded to the press last month?

Here is the graph:

Pretty accurate, right? Considering that this is from  a month ago?

Basically the skinny of their projections is that Hillary can not catch up.

So here is my question, if Obama's political operation was so shrewd, why did they let the expectations game get out of control?

I was wondering about this one yesterday.

I think the Obama campaign has done a pretty decent job on the expectations side of things.  Most reporters emphasize in their accounts of the race that Obama is still ahead in pledged delegates.  The spread sheet seems to be built on pretty conservative assumptions.  

The argument seems to be -- here's the worst case for us in which we can still make a plausible claim for our nomination and still retain credibility.  They matched expectations in the March 4th contests -- but exceeded expectations in every contest in advance of March 4th.
