I'm not sure exactly what to make of this, but there are some interesting results:

*Thelma Drake is the 409th most powerful member of the House of Representatives.  Well, at least she beats out freshman Rob Wittman (#432).

*Rick Boucher is the most powerful member of the Virginia House delegation, ranking #11 overall in the House of Representatives.  Jim Moran ranks behind Boucher, overall #81 in the House.

*Jim Webb is the most powerful U.S. Senator from Virginia, ranking #64 overall - not bad for a freshman after just 1 year in office. I'm not sure how he did it, but Webb edged out John Warner (#75) in terms of his "power ranking," despite Warner's far greater seniority.

Check out the entire list here.

John Warner announcing his retirement (Lowell - 3/4/2008 9:07:09 PM)
should have no impact on the power rankings.

Any evidence that he's (Lowell - 3/6/2008 11:27:35 AM)
"doing less stuff now because he is retiring?"
