You know you've just got a crazy, and potentially delusional candidate in John McCain when:

1.  He bills himself as the great campaign finance reformer, denounces Obama over campaign finance, and then plays a shell game with public funding:

Yeah, this is DEFINITELY the guy you want in charge of a $2 TRILLION dollar US Budget!

2.  He schedules nutjob conservative radio host Bill Cunningham to open for him and then expects America to believe that he's honestly "outraged" at the insane things he says.

Sound judgment, good money skills, and good people working with him, that's our Crazy Uncle Johnny McCain!  He sure is cute, though...  I just can't wait to see what that nutty guy comes up with tomorrow!

Just don't make him angry!!! (The Grey Havens - 2/27/2008 10:09:32 PM)
this is an idea for a regular feature I'm considering running here through the election, let me know what you think in the comments below.

McCain, "The war is almost over." (buzzbolt - 2/28/2008 11:40:37 AM)
The Vietnam war which ended in 1975 was declared "almost over" many hundreds of times beginning in 1962.

McCain, "We cannot have the draft again because it was unfair."

So, Senator McCain, use your vast influence and prestige to introduce and pass legislation making it fair!!

The hair-trigger temper (KathyinBlacksburg - 2/28/2008 1:39:05 PM)
Check out an article at The Guardian concerning John McCain's temper.  Here's the link:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/comm...

McCain's political colleagues, however, know another side of the action hero - a volatile man with a hair-trigger temper, who shouted at Senator Ted Kennedy on the Senate floor to "shut up", and called fellow Republican senators XXXXXXXX, XXXXXXX XXXX, and XXXXXXX."

The article continues:

A few months ago, McCain suddenly rushed up to a friend of mine, a prominent Washington lawyer, at a social event, and threatened to beat him up because he represented a client McCain happened to dislike. Then, just as suddenly, profusely and tearfully, he apologised.
