- The Democratic candidate is expected to be James Keen, from Buchanan County.
- The Republican candidate is expected to be Shea Cook, from Tazewell County.
This is going to be a very quick election so it will probably come down to who can turn out the vote best. I have not been in contact with Mr. Keen or any of the Democratic party from the Third District, but I plan to pledge my full support (i.e., phone banking, canvassing, web support, etc.) to the eventual Democratic nominee.
In other words, we ARE going to hold this seat!
