Good national news from Gallup

The latest Gallup daily tracking 3-day average has Obama now at +7, at  49-42.  I note the following from the commentary:
The tracking data reflect the Obama momentum since the Feb. 5 Super Tuesday primaries, moving from a +13 Clinton advantage in Feb. 3-5 polling to a +7 Obama lead in the latest results.

That's net 20 points in 10 days.  Not bad, eh?  And if you look at figures for last 5 day rolling averages, you see

O - C
44-45
45-44
46-45
47-45
49-42

I would suggest that the most recent day's polling, 2/15, shown in this poll, therefore has Obama ahead double digits nationally.

An Unintentionally Prophetic Ad from Camp Hillary? (FMArouet21 - 2/16/2008 6:08:45 PM)
Remember the infamous Hillary "Freefall" ad from just before Super Tuesday?

Here is the link: Freefall

One almost has to feel sorry for Hillary at this point. Why couldn't some campaign staffer raise his or her hand when the media department floated this creepy advert and shout: "What idiot dreamed this up? Don't you see that this image could come back to bite us in the behind?"

This kind of insulation from reality and inattention to consequences almost seems like déjà Bush all over again.
