Road Signs = Progress.....but Keep Moving

Senator Obama had three strong victories yesterday across the United States.  Barack is doing well, but our challenge now is to keep moving.  While the Obama campaign has certainly done an outstanding job of maintaining intensity, neither campaign has been able to run off a string of victories and establish itself as the front runner.
The Obama campaign has an opportunity to do this on Tuesday.  If we are able to win the so called "Potomac Primary" (VA-DC-MD), I think that we can fairly claim front runner status.  Certainly, that would be the case in terms of public support.  After Tuesday, we'll probably be well ahead with individual voters, by far the most individual financial contributors and the most grassroots activist support.

CNN - Late Edition Today

Except for CNN's Late Edition, the talk shows I saw did not stand out too much for me today.  They seemed to reflect a pretty even race.  Late Edition, however, was interesting.  There was a segment featuring a rep from the two campaigns.  Sen. Claire McCaskill  from Mo. appeared for Barack Obama and Sen. Robert Menendez from my home state of N.J. appeared for Hillary Clinton.

As a recent arrival to Washington herself, McCaskill was able to bring the positive change/fresh approach argument very effectively.  She stressed Obama's broad appeal among different types of voters.  Menendez, while he talked about Clinton's appeal to Hispanics and women, was stuck defending the notion that superdelegates should be able to decide the nominee.  I think McCaskill was the more effective advocate.

We have a chance to move into Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania with substantial momentum.  I will offer to spend most of March and April in Pa. if needed.

FIRED UP.  READY TO GO.
