According to the Virginian-Pilot newspaper, Kilgore's friendship with John "Kill the Appalachian Regional Commission!"Thune is paying off. At the luncheon yesterday in which Thune was the keynote speaker, the Kilgore campaign raised a whopping $750,000. Whoever said money can't buy you love? Well, at least in Republican politics, apparently it can.
PS Maybe Jerry Kilgore would like to donate some of that $750,000 to Virginia's Appalachian economy instead of to more attack ads on Tim Kaine? Just a thought...
