The JJ Dinner is sold out, by the way.

P.S. Several RK "front pagers" will be at JJ, including Eric, Ken and myself.  Hopefully, we'll have some interesting news to report.

This is a great idea! (KathyinBlacksburg - 2/9/2008 10:17:35 AM)
Not everyone has the bucks to attend this.  And it is a pretty long drive for some of us, so it also necessitates a hotel stay.  So, thank you...

MSNBC is also carrying... (FishHead Dem - 2/9/2008 9:21:43 PM)
... the Clinton and Obama speeches...

Obama won Nebraska with 69%! (True Blue - 2/9/2008 9:37:50 PM)
And he's winning Washington with about 67%, can't be long before they call it.

They called it (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 10:17:38 PM)
Obama wins Washington big.

LA too close to call, but exit polls look really good for Obama....

Thank goodness... (FishHead Dem - 2/9/2008 9:39:39 PM)
...someone is posting this. It feels like a deserted town.

CNN just called Washington for Obama.

Looks like Hillary is just reading a speech (True Blue - 2/9/2008 10:03:35 PM)
And it sounds like one of Jim Webb's.

Will she invoke the Scots-Irish?

Wow, her delivery is really flat (True Blue - 2/9/2008 10:08:48 PM)
This isn't a good performance.

If Obama can full off a great performance, he could a real advantage here.

She looks tired (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 10:19:23 PM)
and who can blame her, these campaign schedules are inhuman.

I think (spotter - 2/10/2008 3:18:35 AM)
she had the flu the other day.  She looked as if she hasn't quite recovered.

She is trying to hard... (vadem2008 - 2/9/2008 10:10:42 PM)
Hillary is not being herself tonight.  She is trying to be like Obama and it's not working.  Obama is a natural- he is sincere, Hillary is not.

Meant TOO Hard... (vadem2008 - 2/9/2008 10:12:16 PM)

HI to all my Stafford Dem friends who were lucky enough to attend! (vadem2008 - 2/9/2008 10:13:23 PM)
This looks dynamite!  Wish I was there!

Obama (West Ailsworth - 2/9/2008 10:16:49 PM)
I just got home from a party... has Obama spoken yet??

Don't worry (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 10:18:07 PM)
He's not expected until after 10.

Up next (True Blue - 2/9/2008 10:18:46 PM)

While We're Waiting for Obama... Watch This!!! (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 10:18:47 PM)

Awesome!  The next generation is ready to lead.

speechless (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 10:49:30 PM)
I didn't know people that smart still existed.

Holy Sh*t!!! (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 10:38:09 PM)
I never heard Moran go off so hard against Bill Clinton.

Wow!

America is back!

I missed it... (vadem2008 - 2/9/2008 10:43:53 PM)
What did Moran say about Billary?

We can elect a president... (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 11:07:57 PM)
Who doesn't give up on making important change with the excuse of not making the perfect the enemy of the possible.

stuff like that...

Obama wins Louisiana (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 11:10:24 PM)
it's a sweep, LA, NE, WA

oops, forgot the Virgin Islands (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 11:18:32 PM)
4/4

Change & Hope from Mark Warner (vadem2008 - 2/9/2008 11:15:49 PM)
Didn't he say "change" and "hope" a few times in his speech?  I do believe that he is sending a subliminal endorsement of Obama. Virginia is lucky to have Mark Warner and Tim Kaine.  Let's hope that they both stay with VA for a long time!

I totally agree (postxian - 2/9/2008 11:25:45 PM)
The best thing Warner can do for Obama is not to be his running mate, but to win his Senate race and deliver Virginia to Obama for President.  OK, getting a little ahead of myself.

But the energy at the Obama phone bank in Leesburg today was electrifying!  Wow!  I really think this is a genuine mass movement. Hard to keep my expectations down to earth.

Ha! They're playing the Warner theme song! (True Blue - 2/9/2008 11:16:02 PM)

With Warner on the ticket for Senator, and if Obama is the nominee, we will carry Virginia for the Democratic Party for the first time since 1964!

Mark Warner... The Hero of the Hills!!! (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 11:21:46 PM)
I love that.

btw...

Thanks again for doing this, btw (LAS - 2/9/2008 11:22:16 PM)
Did I miss Jim Webb?

Oh What a Feeling! Obama! (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 11:22:51 PM)

I had a feeling! (code - 2/9/2008 11:24:51 PM)
Are we witnessing Kaine's famous "I had a feeling" speech?

WoW- Tim Kaine is really pumped! (vadem2008 - 2/9/2008 11:27:47 PM)
This is GREAT!  I'm so glad I can watch this...

Looking rather... (code - 2/9/2008 11:30:47 PM)
Vice Presidential, eh?!

Webb (proudvadem - 2/9/2008 11:32:00 PM)
Where is Senator Webb tonight?

Webb's not there? WTF? Who is scheduling this guy? (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 11:32:09 PM)
You've got to be freakin kidding me!

If Webb's not there, he's doing something important (True Blue - 2/9/2008 11:43:22 PM)
Watch for news out of Iraq or Afghanistan.

If Webb missed this, he's got a good reason.

He almost missed it last year (Chris Guy - 2/9/2008 11:56:02 PM)
because he had to preside over the Senate. They like to haze the Freshman Senators.

Obama is rockin (Alicia - 2/9/2008 11:36:32 PM)
good lord Obama rawks : )

Sounds like a VERY pro-Obama crowd.. (proudvadem - 2/9/2008 11:37:27 PM)
Everyone sounds fired up!

I'm told that the Obama presence at JJ is Total Domination (The Grey Havens - 2/9/2008 11:49:48 PM)
check OpenLeft.  Matt Stoller's there.

Obama is mopping the floor with Clinton and McCain by turns (True Blue - 2/9/2008 11:53:27 PM)
Obama is a better speaker than Clinton by a factor of 10.

Throw in the towell (vadem2008 - 2/10/2008 12:07:53 AM)
Hillary needs to throw in the towell after Tuesday's Chesapeake Primaries- it is time for Barack to get ready to take on McCain!
