Saslaw Says: Stewart has "trashed" Prince Wiliam County

Sen. Majority Leader Saslaw certainly is fearless, no doubt about that.  Here's the latest from Virginia's version of the "straight-talk express":

Saslaw also took aim at Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey A. Stewart (R-At Large), who led a successful effort last year to cut some county services to people in the country illegally.

Pointing to real estate values in Prince William, which are plummeting compared with those in other counties, Saslaw said Stewart "has pretty much trashed that county."

Hey, Senator Saslaw, can you PLEASE tell us what you REALLY think about stuff and stop beating around the bush?  Sheesh.

A bit more Saslaw straight talk from the Washington Post interview:

During his talk with The Post, Saslaw made an another comment that might make Democrats downstate shudder.

"We are West Virginia if we pull Northern Virginia out of the equation," Saslaw said, referring to the difference in the tax base between Northern and southern Virginia.

Maybe Saslaw's been hanging out with Tom Davis, who back in October said the Commonwealth was "one-third Northern Virginia and the rest Alabama."

He's running for Lt. Gov (PWC Resident - 2/7/2008 12:50:44 PM)
Corey is announcing he is running for Lt. Gov. tomorrow. Let's hope that the Republican party choose someone else. We can't take the chance of him pushing his policies across the rest of the state.

Maybe Corey should wait to make this announcement; McCain hasn't yet named a running mate. (Barbara - 2/7/2008 7:24:06 PM)
I've heard this before though, so I'm not surprised.  Still, there must be another way to get him out of PWC.
