Want to Make a Difference for Obama in a Battleground County?

If you read the Washington Post this morning http://www.washingtonpost.com/...  You will see that Hillary plans to focus her efforts in Prince William County and Loudoun County.

What her campaign doesn't know is that Barack Obama has been endorsed by many of our local political leaders including State Senator Toddy Puller, State Delegate Paul Nichols and the Chair of the PWC Dem. Committee, Pete Frisbie.

What her campaign doesn't know is that the grassroots organization for Barack Obama in Prince William is truly an army now.  We have a volunteer base of several hundred deep that have been working and meeting for weeks and yes, even months to get out the vote for Barack.

What her campaign doesn't know is that the volunteer base has unmatched energy and enthusiasm for our next President- Barack Obama.  I want to reiterate that these are residents of Prince William who vote here and many are actively involved in the process for the first time.

Despite all of this, we anticipate her campaign to send in out of state folks to counter our energy and efforts to date.  This is no time to sit on the sidelines.  Please look at the events below and lets us know if you can help today!  Anything you can do no matter how small will make a difference in the outcome!
So are you fired up and ready to go?

It's crunch time and we need your help now to carry Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park for Barack Obama next Tuesday!

Join us on Sunday at the Prince William County Democratic Headquarters, 4326 Dale Boulevard, Suite 6, Dale City, VA 22193, from 1PM to 8PM for our get out the vote efforts.  We will be making phone calls (bring your cell phones), delivering literature to targeted neighborhoods and delivering yard signs.  We need all hands on deck to reach our targeted voters!

(Disclaimer: the PWCDC headquarters is available for all primary candidates)

If you can do lit drops on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday please send an email to Keith Scarbourough at kscarborough@ana.net.

If you would prefer to make phone calls from home this week, please send an email to Pete Frisbie at pfrisbie@aol.com and we will get the materials to you!

On Monday afternoon, we will be passing out Obama literature to commuters at the Woodbridge and Rippon VRE stations.  We need several volunteers at each station from 4PM to 6:15PM.  If you can help there, send an e-mail to Jane at janetouchet@comcast.net.

John Harvey is planning a similar effort on Monday afternoon at the VRE station in the City of Manassas.  If you can help there, send an e-mail to John at johnandmaggieharvey@comcast.net

On Tuesday, the polls will be open from 6AM to 7PM.  If you would like to greet voters at the polls and pass out Obama literature, please send an email to janetouchet@comcast.net and let us know which specific hours you are available.  We will cover as many voting precincts for as much time as we can.

At the meeting Saturday we discussed a special outreach to houses of worship on Sunday to remind people of the primary on Tuesday and urging them to vote for Barack Obama.  Please contact your minister or religious leader to discuss whether an announcement can be made or literature passed out after the services.

If you have not already done so, write a letter to the editor for the Potomac News explaining why you are supporting Obama; and send it along to all of the friends and family in your contact list.

After the polls close at 7PM on Tuesday, join us for an Obama Victory Party at Brittany's Restaurant, 12449 Dillingham Square, Woodbridge, VA 22192.  We have big screen TVs and food and drinks available to purchase while we watch the returns come in.

Super Tuesday was a great day for the Obama campaign.  However, given how close the race remains, it is even more critical that we carry Virginia for Barack Obama!  I'm sure you've seen the inspiring TV commercials being provided by the national campaign.  They need us to provide the ground support!  Please find some time in the next few days to help us get out the vote in our area.

Remember how great it felt when we carried this area for Tim Kaine and Jim Webb?  We can do it again!

Democracy is not a spectator sport - join us!  Yes we can!
