The states of the Edwards candidacy in my mind...

OK, don't take this too serious people...it's suppose to be funny ;-)

Shock: Edwards only got 5% in NV and 18% in SC!!!  I can't believe they would deny their native son in SC!

Denial: There must have been election fraud.  We need a recount!  This just can't be right.

Anger: F###ing Hillary Clinton and her G-D war dialer!!!  I can't wait until I boot up my war dialer.  How many different ways can I say "Senator from Punjab"???

Bargaining: Edwards should stay in this and gain delegates.  He can use that to later support Obama and have a position as AG.

UPDATE!!!
Sadly, John Edwards had to drop out of the race today.  So, I will update this entry for one last time.

Depression: Yes, definately a depressing day.  I knew it was coming (back when I was angry), though I didn't want to face such an outcome.

Testing: I'm not fully over the depression, but I have decided to become an Obama supporter.

Acceptance: I accept that Edwards lost, and that Hillary sucks.  And I that hate her.  I hope she likes the message on my war dialer.  Sorry, still have some residual anger.

VP and AG are fine . . . (JPTERP - 1/29/2008 1:45:08 AM)
But I also think Edwards would make an excellent Secretary of Labor . . .

It's a low-profile post, but one that matters in a big way for the nation's union movement.  I cannot imagine a better to ally to have in that position -- and I suspect someone like Edwards would boost the profile of the Department as well.

I hadn't thought of that. (relawson - 1/29/2008 5:57:01 PM)
I think unions would prefer him as AG because the AG has teeth.  The labor department is really just a paper tiger, thanks to business interests.  I would like to see that changed.

The lack of action by the DOL on a host of violations by business is nothing short of a crime.  But what do we expect when business interests run the labor department?

I would rather they appoint me to the Department of Labor.  I'll givem hell ;-)

I like Edwards as President (thegools - 1/29/2008 7:31:15 PM)
that is why I am voting for him.

I think all this talk of AG and other consolation prizes are putting the cart before the horse a bit.......

(I am guilty of it too.)

4 states down, 44 to go.  We are a long way from the end.

Yep.  It's sometimes easy to forget that.

CNN is reporting that Edwards is pulling out. (FxbAmy - 1/30/2008 10:16:15 AM)
Any guesses on an endorsement?

I hope Obama (relawson - 1/30/2008 6:33:54 PM)
But, I guess I need to update what state I am in now....

Edwards Pulls Out (soccerdem - 1/30/2008 6:20:41 PM)
This is a little late now that Edwards has pulled out.  What would be a good role for Edwards in the Hillary Clinton administration (excuse me--is that Lowell choking?) is not Secy of anything but, rather, trade negociater.  That job is a moneymaking windfall when you leave office, millions, and Edwards could be assured bundles of cash at that point, which is why he might accept such a position under HILLARY.  And he'd probably do very well at it, with his background and with some good help from his staff.  Let's all of us who like John Edwards support Hillary and hope she gives a great guy a great job.
