In Dodd We Trust (Again): Telcom Immunity on CSPAN2 Now

Once again, we look to Senator Christopher Dodd to block FISA retroactive Telcom immunity.  These companies colluded with the administration to illegally spy on Americans, one major telcom, even doing so right out of its own offices.  NSA set up a spy station right there.  This was before 9-11, in January of 2001.  Bush set this pattern from the beginning.

Today, Democracy for America ran an ad in the NYT urging that the two presidential senators help block immunity.  Check it out http://www.blogforamerica.com/...
Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton flew back to Washington to be there.  Senator Dodd speaks as I write.

If you can, get thee to your TV, or your phone and urge Barack and Hillary to stop Telcom immunity.  Meanwhile, in Dodd we trust.  He has just announced he will vote against cloture.  Will our presidentials do the same?

Senator Dodd has just yielded the floor to Sen. Rockerfeller.  Mitch McConnell is now speaking and asserting absurdly that we will be left vulnerable if we don't allow one month to debate the issue and fix the FISA bill to better reflect realistic threats and honest protection of rights of Americans.  There is no Senator of any party who will do that.  It's time that the pit bulls of the GOP put our nation ahead of their posturing. McConnell  knows it.  There is no reason why the Republicans won't allow real debate on this.

Roll call starting.....
